Navarra Bauhaus initiative is led by the public society Nasuvinsa and the Directorates for Spatial Planning, Housing, External Action and Culture of the Government of Navarra and is framed in the European Green Deal, in the principles of urban sustainability of the 2030 Agenda and as “a hope project to explore how to live better together after the pandemic”. Navarre proposes an event on the new Bauhaus at the Conference on the Future of Europe


The Counsellor for Citizen Relations, Ana Ollo, participated in the second follow-up meeting on the Conference on the Future of Europe, chaired by the Secretary of State for the European Union, Juan González-Barba.

At this meeting, the Counsellor announced that Navarre will organise a "thematic event" on the New European Bauhaus to be held on 19 November. The conclusions drawn from the event will be included in the report that the Secretary of State for the European Union is to present to the European Parliament.

The Navarra’s Delegation in Brussels, the European Commission and the European Architecture Council organise a workshop on good practice in sustainable architecture


In the framework of the European Week of Regions and Cities, the European Architecture Council, the European Commission and the Government of Navarre’s Delegation in Brussels are organising a seminar on 12 October entitled “Quality architecture for all cities and regions: exchange of good practice”. In this seminar, taking into consideration the European Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus, a report with the recommendations of 39 experts appointed by the Member States will be presented in order to achieve a quality architecture that pays attention to the development of a sustainable environment for all. This initiative will be illustrated through the exchange of good practices between cities and regions, with particular emphasis on Navarre and the Navarra.



The Degree in Design of the University of Navarra (UNAV) awarded with the New European Bauhaus Award

The Degree in Design of the University of Navarra (UNAV) has won the New European Bauhaus Award in the category "Interdisciplinary Educational Models". This award, consisting of 30,000 euros and a communication support package, rewards good architectural practices that illustrate the values of aesthetics, sustainability and inclusion that underpin the New European Bauhaus. The UNAV thus joins eight other Spanish winners, making Spain the country with the most winners in the European New Bauhaus Awards.



NASUVINSA and the University of Navarra admitted as official partners of the New European Bauhaus


The European Commission has admitted the public company NASUVINSA and the University of Navarra (UNAV) as official partners of the New European Bauhaus. Both organisations are part of the Navarra Bauhaus working group, which aims to bring together science, technology, art and culture to collectively find innovative solutions to build an aesthetic environment, sustainable and inclusive in the framework of the European Green Pact. These two Navarrese institutions are thus added to the 200 organisations admitted by the European Commission as official partners of the New European Bauhaus.



The Government of Navarre invited to participate by the research and innovation network of the European regions (ERRIN) in an event on the New European Bauhaus


Errin organizes the 29th of June the event “The New European Bauhaus – Creating sustainable living environment on local level”. The participants will discuss the objectives of the New European Bauhaus and consider the development of a joint, multidisciplinary initiative to make cities and regions their main drivers, which will be enhanced by the exchange of experiences that could be successful under this initiative. The event will feature the participation of Xavier Troussard, Head of Unit (JRC) European Commission and Marcos Ros Sempere, MEP & Founder of the New European Bauhaus Friendship Group in the European Parliament. Navarra will be represented by Beatriz San Martín (NASUVINSA) who will exhibit the initiative Navarra Bauhaus.



The Government of Navarre presents the Navarra Bauhaus initiative during the annual Assembly of the European Network of Development Agencies


The Government of Navarre, through its Director General for External Action, will participate in Agorada 2021, the annual meeting of EURADA showing the commitment and alignment of Navarre with the objectives of the European Green Deal, having promoted his candidacy for the New European Bauhaus. During the event, in addition to explaining the Navarra Bauhaus initiative, he will moderate the debate with Borislava Woodford of the European Commission’s New Bauhaus Team (JRC).   



Navarre is promoting its candidacy for the "New Bauhaus" for European urban renewal


The Government of Navarre has presented the interdisciplinary group that will promote the candidacy of Navarre to the New European Bauhaus, an initiative of the European Commission to renew urban spaces with an aesthetic approach, sustainability and social inclusion through innovative projects arising from the dialogue between the different actors. To this end, a working group led by the Directorate-General for External Action, with technical assistance from Nasuvinsa, will be set up to integrate other DGs and organisations interested in participating.

The Directorate-General for External Action organises a webinar on "The Wave of Renewal and the New European BAUHAUS: contributions from Navarre"


The Directorate-General for External Action, through its Delegation to the European Union, is organising a seminar on the New European Bauhaus, a sustainable and inclusive urban renewal initiative within the framework of the European Green Pact. This seminar will include a presentation of the initiative and will provide examples of initiatives that are being carried out in Navarre and that are aligned with the New Bauhaus, from the point of view of housing, architecture and culture. Montserrat Marin, from the New European Bauhaus team of the JRC (European Commission), will participate.
